RideMarker ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ridemarker.com website and the RideMarker shuttle tracking platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and hotel/business details.
- Payment Information: Billing details are collected and processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
- Contact Information: When you reach out via our contact form or email, we collect your name, email, and message content.
- Waitlist Information: If you sign up for notifications about upcoming features, we collect your name, email, and company name.
Information Collected Automatically
- GPS Location Data: We collect real-time GPS coordinates from shuttle devices paired with your account. This data powers the live tracking map visible to your guests and staff.
- Device & Usage Data: We may collect browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, and interaction data to improve the Service.
- Cookies: We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Display real-time shuttle locations to your guests and staff
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, SMS alerts)
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Improve and optimize the Service
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Vercel for hosting). These providers only access data necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect it.
- Your Guests: Shuttle GPS location data is displayed on the guest-facing tracking page. No personal information about drivers or hotel staff is shared with guests.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of RideMarker or others.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (e.g., light/dark mode). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but some features of the Service may not function properly without them.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. GPS log data is retained for up to 90 days to support historical tracking and troubleshooting, after which it is automatically deleted.
If you cancel your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
